Singing in the Rain
As drought crushes the American west, Northeast Ohio is being refreshed by rain.
In the early spring in Ohio, days can go from sunny and warmish (50s and 60s) to snowy to rain and thunderstorms (and the occasional tornado). Crisp days are great for hiking (few, if any, bugs); pale green spiky leaves pushing through branches; flowering trees; daffodils and green, green grasses. Birds are on the move, too. Canada Geese find their nesting areas and lay eggs. It is the same for all the other common birds in our area: cardinals, blue jays, robins, and others. A colony of great blue herons nest high in the trees (Bath Road in Cuyahoga Falls: https://www.nps.gov/places/bath-road-heronry.htm).
And a girl sings at the charming little Off the Wagon toy store in Kent, Ohio. Off the Wagon and its sister store, Red Letter Days, must be similar to the Weasley Twins’ joke shop from the Harry Potter books (J.K. Rowling). The song is a classic. The girl is my daughter. When I want to smile, this is what I watch on YouTube.
