Zoom Poetry Reading—April 9, 2022

On Saturday, April 9 at 5 pm EST, I will be giving a Zoom poetry reading with poet/photographer Debbie Hall. This reading was planned and is being hosted by The Poetry Box and its publisher/editor Shawn Aveningo-Sanders.

Debbie will be reading from her recently released collection In the Jaguar’s House (The Poetry Box). This book of animal poems for kids also includes her full-color photographs of animals. From otters to owls...sea lions to warthogs...dragonflies to dung beetles—Debbie has captured the animal world with pictures and words. It is a wonderful book!

I will be reading from The Galloping Garbage Truck (Kelsay Books). My collection of poems for children was a fun book to write and is equally fun to read to small children (particularly my grandsons...ages 3 and 5!). I’ll read Buttons (embracing differences that make our lives richer), My Two Dogs (an ode to feet), Could We Be Friends? (an unlikely friendship between a kitten and a baby raccoon), and The Girl With the Bow in Her Hair (my personal favorite).

Please join Debbie and me (and Shawn, who is a fantastic editor)! You can join in any of the following ways...
